What we do with your pieces once you arrive:
we weigh your pieces and ask for your materials list.
It’s important you tell us all materials used to protect your artworks, other peoples artworks in the kiln and the kiln equipment. Failure to disclose materials may incur a fee if other items/kiln equipment is damaged.
we let you know how long the firing may take. It may be a couple of days to a couple of weeks. Stoneware and Earthenware firings are based on how many items we receive and if we can fill the kiln
we check that all the bottoms of your pieces are free from glaze for glaze firings.
we check that all items for the glaze firing have been bisqued first. We may refuse the firing of pieces if they are deemed a hazard for the kiln. If you have any concerns about your pieces before bringing them in, feel free to send us a photo at hello@thepottage.com.au
we photograph your items with the firing slip with your details on it.
contact you once your pieces are ready for collection.
