This Bisque Firing in an electric kiln for a cone 06/ 998 degrees.
Approx turn around time is 2-3 weeks.
Requirements:

  • All work must be bone dry prior to firing.

  • All pieces must be properly constructed with secure joins.

  • We only accept clay bodies that are purchased from our shop. No wild clays or pieces with foreign material unless discussed.

  • Avoid overly thick bases or uneven walls as this may result in explosions.

Risk & Damage Disclosure

  • Firing in one of our studio kilns is at your own risk.

  • The Pottage is not responsible for cracking, warping or explosions.

  • The Pottage are not responsible for glaze faults.

  • The Pottage is not responsible for damage to pieces caused by a faulty item.

    * If a piece explodes or damages the kiln, you may be liable for:

  • Kiln repairs; not limited to replacement of shelves, kiln furniture and elements.

  • Damage to other peoples work.

Labelling and Drop Off
All pieces must be:

  • Checked in by one of our staff members where you will fill out a form. Clay bodies, glazes, and materials will need to be identified.

  • Items will be weighed and paid for prior to firing.

  • No refunds will be provided after firing has occurred.

  • Dropped off during our opening hours. If you miss your selected date, your items will be moved to the next available firing date.

  • We will only hold items on our shelves for 30 days. Uncollected work will be discarded unless otherwise discussed.
